W środę 5-tego czerwca uczestnicy 49-tego Międzynarodowego Pleneru Ceramiczno-Rzeźbiarskiego odwiedzili wraz z komisarzem pleneru Mateuszem Grobelnym Akademię Sztuk Pięknych we Wrocławiu. Artyści zapoznali się z metodami kształcenia studentów ASP, mieli okazję zobaczyć pracownie Wydziału Szkła i Ceramiki, Rzeźby oraz inne pracownie sztuk manualnych. Na uczestnikach pleneru duże wrażenie wywarł nowo otwarty budynek Akademii oraz  różnorodność i innowacyjność pracowni, w których kształcą się młodzi artyści.

Kolejnym etapem zwiedzania było Muzeum Narodowe we Wrocławiu. Artyści zwiedzili między innymi: wystawę sztuki współczesnej, wystawę sztuki Śląska, oraz wystawę malarstwa „Od Cranacha do Picassa” . Na zakończenie artyści podziwiali uroki wrocławskiego Starego Miasta.

A visit to the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław

On Wednesday, 5 June, the attendants of the 49th International Ceramics and Sculpture Symposium with the Symposium’s Commissioner Mateusz Grobelny visited the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. The artists learnt about the teaching methods of the Academy, they saw the workrooms of the Glass and Ceramics Faculty, of the Sculpture Faculty, and other studios of the manual arts. The Symposium’s participants were much impressed by the Academy’s newly opened building and the innovative and diverse capacities of its workrooms, where young artists advance.

The next step of the trip was a visit to the National Museum in Wrocław. Among others, the artists saw an exhibition of modern art, a display of the Silesia Region artworks, and a painting exhibition “From Cranach to Picasso”. At the end, the artists could rest and admire the Wrocław Old Town’s charms.
